WordPress: Set up email signup form plugin

The first step to adding a GoDaddy Email Marketing signup form to your WordPress site is getting and setting up the plugin. Even if you don't already have a GoDaddy Email Marketing account, the plugin will set one up for you.

If you used the setup wizard to create your WordPress site, the plugin is automatically added for you. To confirm this, click Plugins, and look for GoDaddy Email Marketing Signup Forms. If it is there, you can skip to creating or editing your signup form.

  1. In your WordPress admin dashboard, hover over Plugins, and select Add New.
  2. Using the search field, search for GoDaddy Email Marketing.
  3. In the GoDaddy Email Marketing plugin, click Install Now.
  4. Click Activate Plugin.
  5. In the list of plugins, under GoDaddy Email Marketing Signup Forms, click Settings.
  6. Your next couple steps depend on if you already have a GoDaddy Email Marketing or GoDaddy account, or not.

    If you have… Then do this…
    A GoDaddy Email Marketing account
    1. Under Account Details, click Sign in here.
    2. Enter your overall GoDaddy account email address and password, and click Sign In.
    3. Click the GoDaddy Email Marketing account you want to connect to your WordPress plugin. You'll be shown Your API credentials.
    A GoDaddy account, but no GoDaddy Email Marketing account
    1. Under Account Details, click Sign in here.
    2. Enter your GoDaddy account email address and password, and click Sign In. You'll be shown a page where you can create a new GoDaddy Email Marketing account.
    3. Enter your First name, Last name, and Company. Agree to the terms of service, and click Create account. You'll be shown Your API credentials.
    No account
    1. In the banner at the top of the plugin settings page, click Sign Up Now.
    2. Create an account by entering an Email address, Username, Password, and Support PIN. Click I Agree. You'll be shown a page where you can create a new GoDaddy Email Marketing account.
    3. Enter your First name, Last name, and Company. Agree to the terms of service, and click Create account. You'll be shown Your API credentials.

  7. Enter Your username in the Username field, on the GoDaddy Email Marketing plugin settings page, and then enter Your key in the API key field.
  8. Click Save Settings. You should see a confirmation message that You're all set!
