Basic & Pro Reseller Help

Where are my commissions?

Resellers receive commissions at the end of every month for the previous month's earnings, once the amount earned reaches the minimum payment threshold. For example, the commission you earned during December will be paid out at the end of January. If you don’t meet the minimum payment threshold, your commission will be held until the month after you do meet the minimum. Commissions are paid via the payment method you’ve set up in your payee account.

If you think you’ve missed a commission payment, you can use the information below to see your payment history and review your payee account settings. This should get you back on track!

Step 1: Check Your Payment History to Verify Your Recent Payments

Earnings for each month are always paid out on the 27th of the following month. For example, earnings from March would be paid out on April 27.

  1. Sign in to your Reseller Control Center (use your GoDaddy username and password).
  2. From the Reseller Dashboard, select Reports > Payment History to see a history of your monthly commission payments.
    • The following example shows the last commission payment (earnings for March) was made in April. Earnings for April will be paid on May 27.

  3. If it’s past the 27th of the current month and you don’t see a payment for last month’s earnings, you may not have earned enough to meet the commission threshold or your payee account may not be set up correctly. We’ll take a look at those next.

Step 2: Verify Whether You’ve Met the Minimum Payment Threshold

A payment threshold is the minimum amount you can be paid at one time. This varies by payment method, or you can also set a custom threshold to hold payment until it reaches a certain amount. Payment is sent when your earnings reach the threshold in your payee account.

  1. From the Reseller Dashboard, select Reports > Commissions to view the Commission Report.
  2. Run the report for the full month in question and take note of the total commission earned.
    • In the following example, the commission report is for April 1 - April 30. The commission earned for the month is $3.87 USD.
    • If you’re not sure which payee account is set up to receive reseller commission payments, check the purple banner for your account nickname.
    • Payee error: If you see a message saying that the payee is not currently payable, there’s a problem with your payee account info. To receive payment, you’ll first need to fix the issue in the payee account.
  3. Next, go to your GoDaddy My Profile page and select Payees. Select View/Edit next to the payee account where you receive your reseller commissions.
  4. Verify that you see a green circle around each step at the top of the page.
  5. Select Next to reach Step 2 (Payment Method).
  6. Verify the payment method and payment threshold associated with the payee info.
    • In the example below, the account is set up for Direct Deposit/ACH. This has a minimum threshold of $10.00, but a custom payment threshold of $200.00 was applied. This means that commission will be paid when the total reaches the set threshold of $200.00.

  7. Verify whether your commission earnings reach the minimum threshold in your account. You’ll receive payment after your earnings hit the threshold amount.
  8. Note: After you’ve set up your payee account, any missing commissions will be automatically sent out within 3 business days (excluding US bank holidays and weekends).

Step 3: Verify Your Payee Account Information

If your payment history or commission earnings indicate that you should have received payment, the payment information in your account may be out-of-date or have another issue.

  1. Review the banking details in Step 2 (Payment Method) and make sure everything is still accurate. If something needs to be fixed, make changes directly in your payee account.
  2. Contact the financial institution that’s associated with your payee account info. Even if the information is out-of-date, some banks will hold payment for a period of time or make another arrangement to get the payment to you.
