Edit a subdomain

Now that you understand what a subdomain is, you can edit a non-forwarded subdomain that points to an IP address. You can also manually forward or mask your domain or subdomain.

Note: If your domain is registered at another company, see the Domains registered at another company section below for instructions.

Looks like you're not logged in. If you log in above (under Text Icon), we can save you a couple of steps.

  1. Go to the DNS Management page.
  2. In the Records section, next to the A record for the subdomain you want to edit, click Click the pencil icon to edit (the pencil icon).
  3. Edit any of the following fields:
    • Name: Enter the subdomain you want to use. Type @ to map the record directly to your domain name, including the www.
    • Value: Enter the IP address you want the subdomain to point to.
    • TTL: Select how long the server should cache the information.
  4. Click Save.

Note: Updating the IP address where a subdomain resolves does not update the subdomain's forwarding.
