Re: public_html

i believe i ve found the root dir for my web ... using grep on ssh terminal

how ever i still have questions :

1. how did it move to /usr/local/apache/htdocs ..shouldnt it be by default in ~/public_html ???

2. how to access it through terminal or cpanel ? as its owned by root now .. i dont have write permissions ..

Re: public_html

Greetings @hsn93 ,

Domains are my primary area of expertise, but I know you are seeking a quick answer, so here goes...it would seem to me that the files are going to write based on where you are located within the hosting - local, public, root.

Do you not have root permissions on your hosting plan? Without account access I don't know what type of hosting you have, but either one of the following or Support / Hosting Support may be able to assist you.

I hope that provides some guidance,

Re: public_html

I'm having the same problem with my hosting. the files that shows online are in /usr/local/apache/htdocs instead of the ...../public_html
am I missing something?
