Did you mean:

Webmail link is redirected to Secureserver.net. WHY?

Hello everyone,

I can't say this is an issue, but it is not a professional way of access webmail.

Before coming to GoDaddy, let me share my experience with my previous hosting provider.

On previous hosting provider, I used to access webmail like "webmail.domainname.com", and after complete loading, the link kept the same and it was secure.

Here on GoDaddy, when I'm trying to access webmail, it goes to cPanel where cPanel redirects them to secureserver.net link, which is totally different from my domain.

It is still secure but messing up the beauty of my domain name.

Hi @KhalidRasheed,

Welcome to the Community!

If you're using cPanel email, you'll need to be sure to have the records available in the DNS to be able to use the domain name in retrieving your email.

A        @        Your account's IP address

A        mail         Your account's IP address

CNAME         www         @

MX (host) @ (points to) mail.domainname.com (priority) 0

Optional Records:

CNAME         autoconfig.admin

Yes, it is a shared Webhosting plan, and I've added these records via GoDaddy Domain Manager. Is it right...

Hi @KhalidRasheed,

Without your domain name, we're not able to do an external test in order to verify the correct zone files. Is your email now functioning? You're welcome to reply with your domain name for review.
