Missing a temporary folder when trying to upload file

I am unable to upload any files to the Media section.

Receiving a Missing a temporary folder error.

I have edited my wp-config.php file to add:  define('WP_TEMP_DIR', dirname(__FILE__) . '/wp-content/temp/');

I have created a temp folder in my wp-content folder.

Still getting the Missing a temporary folder error.

This is after I received a Congratulations Hosting Account Updated message from GoDaddy 12/16/17 which made my site unaccessible. I spent a lot of time figuring out what was wrong- seems GoDaddy change my site IP for some reason and didn't inform me beforehand. I figured out I needed to make a change to my database and finally got the site accessible again.

This is the first time i have tried to upload files since the IP change, so I have a feeling it's related?

Any thoughts?

Re: Missing a temporary folder when trying to upload file

It likely is related. There's a tmp folder above your html folder that likely didn't get created when you were migrated. If you turn on SSH you can connect with sFTP and correct this, otherwise hosting support can recreate this folder for you.

Re: Missing a temporary folder when trying to upload file

I am not knowledgeable with SSH.

I need hosting support to get this set up properly.
