How do I setup subdomain that directs to a 00webhost forums that changes url with subpages?

Hello guys.  I am trying to setup my subdomain like this: forum.domainname.com.  My problem is that if I just simply add a subdomain via forwarding and masking, the url does not change even if I go to a different page.  The website I am trying to use my subdomain on is a forum I host with 00webhost (free version) and I want the subdomain to show the subpage url as well.  Anyone know how to do this?  I tried adding it as an A type but apparently it has to be an IP address and I tried adding it as a CNAME type but when I go to the URL, it says "No Such website" but it has the Hostinger/00webhost ads in there.  I appreciate any help.

Remove the forwarding and go back with a CNAME.

Type: CNAME

Host/name: forum

Points to/value: [put in your 000webhost address]

That sets your sub-domain to send traffic to their server, but their server would also need to be set to receive traffic from your domain.

000webhost cPanel > 'Manage Website' > 'Set web address' > 'Own domain' > 'Point domain'.

Hey Nate thanks for the response.  I tried to do what you suggested and I'm looking at the Domains section.  I can see here that there's 2 viable options: Parked Domains and Subdomains.  I'm assuming that the one you're trying to let me do is the "Parked Domains" option, right?  If yes, does that mean I have to be a premium member since it's a premium feature?

The steps were from their support documentation, it did not suggest this to be a premium feature.  I did not post the article because it was more about nameservers, but you wouldn't be able to manage the DNS on their end with a free plan.  So that would leave the CNAME option in order to make a sub-domain.
