The Authorisation code provided by GoDaddy is labeled "invalid " by


The authorisation code that I receive by email from GoDaddy to transfer my domain, gets rejected by "Auth code invalid". I went through the same process numerous times, to no avail.  I made sure not to add extra spaces before or after the code. Neither nor GoDaddy can explain why the code is rejected.
Can it be that  GoDaddy tires to make it as difficult as possible to ensure that one remains stuck with them? I have phoned their helpline three times. The guys are helpful, but they cannot give me a solution. 

I must say I find it strange that one can contact GoDaddy by phone only. Why is there no email address? So that there is no paper trail?
